Wyoming draw points, explained

Preference points

Wyoming uses preference points, but who can use them depends on residency and species. Residents draw elk, deer and pronghorn purely at random, with no points. Nonresidents build points for elk, deer and pronghorn, and everyone builds points for moose and bighorn sheep. For nonresidents the key fact is that you only get an elk, deer or pronghorn point by buying it in the summer-fall point window; losing the draw gives you nothing.
