Utah draw points, explained

Mixed point systems

Utah uses two point systems. Limited-entry and once-in-a-lifetime hunts use bonus points, where half the permits go to the people with the most points. General-season buck deer uses preference points, where the highest point holders are drawn first. The thing that matters most: you need a valid Utah hunting license to apply, and you only earn points by applying (or buying a point) during the spring window each year.
