Oregon draw points, explained

Preference points

Oregon uses a modified preference point system: 75% of controlled deer, elk, pronghorn and spring bear tags go to first-choice applicants with the most points, and 25% are drawn at random among all first-choice applicants. You earn one point per hunt series each year you don't draw your first choice, or by buying a Point Saver. Points only count for your first choice, and they reset to zero when you draw it.
